New York Knicks player Cleanthony Early was shot in the leg and robbed after leaving a strip club in Queens, New York, early Wednesday, according to reports.

The 24-year-old basketball player and his girlfriend reportedly left a strip club in Maspeth around 4:15 a.m. and got into an Uber car service when they were targeted by assailants in ski-masks, the New York Daily News reported.
The suspects were reportedly in three other vehicles that boxed them in.
A half-dozen men reportedly got out of the cars, shot Early in the kneecap and then robbed the couple. They made off with two gold chains, other jewelry and the caps off of his teeth, the News wrote.
No arrests have been made from the heist and police are investigating.
Early was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.

The Knicks released a statement on the situation via Twitter:
Early joined the team in 2014 as a rookie and played in Tuesday night’s game, which saw his team defeat the Detroit Pistons.
