Elton John Is Accused of Sexually Harassing a Bodyguard For Years
Jeffrey Wenninger, who was once honored with the LAPD's Medal of Valor, says the music legend touched him in an 'unwelcome manner' beginning in 2002.
A former body guard is suing Elton John, claiming the music legend touched him inappropriately multiple times over several years.
Jeffrey Wenninger, who once won the Medal of Valor as a sergeant for the Los Angeles Police Department, claims John touched him in an "unwelcome" manner over the course of several years starting after he became part of the singer's security detail in 2002.
A civil suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday seeks unspecified damages for battery, sexual battery and sexual harassment.
The suit claims Elton John "made sexual advances" toward Wenninger and "engaged in unwanted contact" with the plaintiff's body and genitals.
The suit states that John once told Wenninger "Get your todger out" and "You have so many gay genes in you they just haven't met up yet" as well as other "sexually suggestive commentary."
Wenninger claims the incidents increased in "frequency and intensity after 2010" and that he "sustained severe mental and physical harm."
John's attorney, Orin Snyder, told CNN that Wenninger is "a disgruntled former security officer seeking to extract an undeserved payment.
"These claims are patently untrue and contradicted by numerous previous statements made by this plaintiff," Snyder said. "We will not give into his latest abuse of the legal system."
