Don't Liev Me! Naomi Watts Splits From Longtime Beau Schreiber After 11 Years
The stars have two children together but never married.
After 11 years together, actors Liev Schrieber and Naomi Watts are calling it quits.
The couple, who have two children together, Alexander (Sasha), 8, and Samuel, 7, released a statement Monday to announce their separation.
“Over the past few months we've come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple," they said. “It is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship. While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy.”
The couple, who have never married, met on the set of the film, The Painted Veil, and have a new film arriving in theaters, The Bleeder, later this year.
Prior to the split, the duo were spotted at the Venice Film Festival and Toronto Film Festivals earlier in the month and showed no signs of problems.
The 48-year-old Ray Donovan star recently took to Instagram to show off intimate moments he shared with his longtime lover.
Watts, 47, also gushed about her beau on social media.
Schreiber attended last week’s Emmy Awards with son, Sasha.
Watts also shared a photo of father and son, saying: “#ProudBeyondWords.”
The couple has divided their time between Manhattan and Los Angeles.
