DJ Accused of Groping Taylor Swift Denies Her Claim: 'I Never Had a Chance to Defend Myself'

David Mueller lost his job after the "Blank Space" singer's complaint was filed.

The DJ accused of groping Taylor Swift during a 2013 meet-and-greet in Denver has broken his silence about the incident for the first time.

David Mueller denies he touched Swift inappropriately, and took to the airwaves Tuesday to proclaim his innocence.

“My hand was never under her skirt," he told 955 Detroit morning show “Mojo in the Morning.” I never grabbed her. My hand was not open.”

In a photo obtained by TMZ, Mueller can be seen posing with Swift back in June 2013 backstage at a Denver concert.

"He took his hand and put it up my dress and grabbed onto my ass cheek," Swift said in a deposition filed in July. "I remember... feeling violated in a way I had never experienced before."

But Mueller tells a different story.

"I've got my hand closed and my palm down and I reach behind toward Taylor," he told the station. "Our hands touched and our arms crossed. That's all I remember."

He added: “This actually is the worst possible scenario for me because if I was arrested I would have my day in court. You're innocent until proven guilty. I never had a chance to defend myself.”

Two days after the 2013 incident, Mueller, who denies any wrongdoing, was fired from his job at Denver-area radio station KYGO. He has since filed a lawsuit against the "Bad Blood" singer.

In October, Swift countersued Mueller for assault and battery and is seeking damages from the incident.

Swift’s attorney J. Douglas Baldridge said in the countersuit: “Resolution of this Counterclaim will demonstrate that Mueller alone was the perpetrator of the humiliating and wrongful conduct targeted against Ms. Swift, and will serve as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts."
