Give That Tree A Badge! Man Knocked Out by Tree During Police Chase
Police suspected he was under the influence.
A man being chased by police reportedly knocked himself out cold after running into a tree, police said.
Christopher Daniel Mackey was spotted swerving on an Arkansas highway on Sunday night and after being pulled over, police suspected he was under the influence of drugs.
Cops said an officer asked Mackey if he was under the influence and if there was anything illegal in the vehicle.
While searching the vehicle, officers reportedly discovered a flashlight that was full of methamphetamine and attempted to place Mackey under arrest, but he allegedly ran away.
During the chase through some brush, police said Mackey ran smack dab into a tree and began having seizures.
An ambulance was called and he was transported to the hospital, according to the report.
Following Mackey's release from the hospital, he was charged with felony possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated, driving left of center, fleeing, resisting arrest and possession of an instrument of crime.
