Together Forever: Celebrities Turn Out for Funeral of Carrie Fisher and Mom Debbie Reynolds
Meryl Streep sang Fisher's favorite song, "Happy Days Are Here Again."
Two hearses arrived with a police escort as mother-daughter Hollywood legends Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher were laid to rest in Los Angeles Friday.
The service at Forest Lawn Cemetery was small and private with only close family and friends attending. It has been reported that Fisher left instructions she should be cremated but it's believed some of her ashes will be buried next to her mother.
Reynolds will be buried near screen icon Bette Davis, who died in 1989. Reynolds and Davis starred together in the classic film The Catered Affair back in 1956.
On Thursday, Meryl Streep, Gwyneth Paltrow, Meg Ryan, Sean Lennon, and George Lucas were among the stars who gathered at Fisher's Beverly Hills compound for a private memorial.
Streep sang Fisher’s favorite song, “Happy Days Are Here Again.”
