E.T. Drive Home: Cops Pull Over Man for Speeding, Find Alien Doll Buckled Up in Passenger Seat

The driver never spoke about his extra-terrestrial sidekick, according to reports, but did allow cops take photos of it.

An alien was discovered by the men in blue — not the Men in Black — safely buckled into the passenger seat of a car that officers had pulled over for speeding.

Police in Alpharetta, Ga., say they clocked a driver speeding at 84 miles per hour Sunday and when they made the traffic stop, they noticed a life-size alien doll strapped into a seatbelt and riding shotgun.

The driver never spoke about his extra-terrestrial sidekick, according to reports, but did allow cops take photos of it.

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety posted the images on their Facebook page where it has been shared more than 300 times.

The department wrote in a caption: “Umm, the things you see during everyday patrol.” They also noted that since we are close to the July 4 holiday, it tagged the 1996 Will Smith blockbuster Independence Day as a hashtag. That film, of course, is about aliens invading Earth.

The driver was let off with a warning and not given a ticket. As for the alien, the truth is out there.

“We are very active on social media and engagement and looking to post something interesting,” Public Affairs Officer George Gordon of the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety told InsideEdition.com. “It is good to come across something that brings out laughter and [the opportunity] to have fun at work.”

Gordon added that the driver and the officer "had a good chuckle" at the incident. It remains unknown why the alien was buckled up in the passenger seat.
