Ousted Fox News Host Says There Is 'No Sign of Self Harm' After 19-Year-Old Son's Death

Eric Bolling Jr. was found dead in Colorado.

After former Fox News host Eric Bolling’s 19-year-old son was found dead Friday night, the grieving father said there is no evidence of self-harm.

Eric Chase Bolling Jr. was found dead in Colorado, where he attended the University of Colorado Boulder.

“Adrienne and I are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Eric Chase last night,” Bolling tweeted. “Details still unclear. Thoughts, prayers appreciated.”

Bolling, 54, added in another tweet, “There is no sign of self harm at this point.”

Boulder police said the cause of death is still under investigation. Eric’s autopsy is scheduled for next week.

Authorities have informed us there is no sign of self harm at this point. Autopsy will be next week. Please respect our grieving period.

In a statement released on Saturday, Fox News expressed its sadness over Bolling’s loss.

“We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Eric Bolling’s son,” the network said in a statement to PEOPLE. “Eric Chase was a wonderful young man and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bolling family.”

Friends and colleagues also shared their condolences.

The student was found dead just hours after his dad was ousted from the Fox News network amid allegations of sexual harassment.

He is accused of sending inappropriate text messages to female colleagues, according to multiple reports. He was initially suspended in August pending an internal investigation.
