'Backpack Kid' Takes Times Square by Storm While Showing Off His Signature Moves

The Georgia teenager who catapulted to fame as “Backpack Kid” after sharing the Saturday Night Live stage with Katy Perry is back in New York — and he's not alone.

Tenth grader Russell Horning recently showed off his viral moves at the Crossroads of the World – Times Square in Manhattan, where he was greeted by fans who were ecstatic to meet him.

Just like the Pied Piper, he led the swarm of supporters through the busy area, teaching them how to do the bizarre dance that caught the attention of Perry and millions of viewers at home.

They can't get enough of his deadpan expression and his signature stiff-arm dance.

After a quick lesson, he cranked up the music and Times Square was rockin’ with Backpack Kid mania.
