A Missouri 7-year-old may just be the next musical sensation after a video of her rapping skills went viral.
Macyn McMillian, who goes by the rap name “Mac Sauce,” performed original lyrics to rapper 6ix9ine's "Stoopid" at back-to-school event in August. When her dad, Myron McMillian, posted the video to Twitter, it went viral.
Both dad and daughter, who live in Kansas City, Missouri, were shocked by Macyn’s newfound fame.
"It felt like more people now know me and like listening to my music, like even grown-ups, so I'm like, wow!" Macyn told InsideEdition.com
McMillian said he’s known Macyn was musically talented since she was younger. She wrote her own lyrics to Cardi B’s "Bodak Yellow" when she was just 5 years old. She called it "Bodak Mac."
McMillian said that’s when he knew it was time to get Macyn in the studio. The pair both share a passion for music and artistry.
“She would be in the studio with me, she would be around me writing songs and all that,” the dad said.
McMillian said he was surprised when the video of her rapping went viral, but he knows his daughter has talent.
“I couldn’t believe it,” he said of the popularity of the video. “For other people to see what I see now, that’s what I really love.”
