Adorable Rare White Lion Cub Debuts at Texas Animal Sanctuary

She will later on be moved to her own habitat.
An adorable, 7-week-old white lion cub has made her much-anticipated debut at an animal sanctuary in Texas.
Luna, a white African lioness, appeared publicly for the first time at the Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary in Tyler last week.
The cub is quite rare, as she is one of less than 500 white lions left in the world that are in captivity, and less than a dozen remaining in the wild, according to sanctuary director Emily Owens.
The lions are reportedly endangered because they are a frequent target of poachers.
Luna weighs 12 pounds and receives bottle feedings every few hours.
At 6 months old, she will be moved to her own habitat.
