These little piggies are not heading to the market.
Nearly 3,000 piglets spilled onto an Illinois highway Friday after the truck they were riding in crashed, Illinois State Police said. After getting loose, the pigs got a mud bath.
Pictures police posted on social media showed the animals happily slopping around in the dirt.
Authorities say it took help from the Casey Police Department, Greenup Police Department, Effingham Equity, the Illinois Department of Transportation and local volunteers to corral the pigs.
