It was a double blessing for two identical twin sisters when they gave birth on the same day.

Bao Nhia Julia Yang and Bao Kou Julie Yang, 23, welcomed baby girls within hours of one another on Sunday at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California.

"I found out I was pregnant first and then I told her. She told me she might be pregnant too," Bao Kou told ABC News.

Growing up, the pair said they did everything together, so it was fitting that they ended up giving birth together.

Their original due dates were only two days apart.

"I started Saturday night and then she told me she was having pain too,” Bao Kou said.

Bao Kou gave birth to her daughter Nadalie Xiong at at 6:59 p.m., while Bao Nhia gave birth nearly two hours later at 8:48 p..m. to Candra Thao.

Both newborns weighed 7 pounds.

The moms’ nurse-midwife, Laura Schleicher, said the births were completely natural and unplanned.

"Really all I did was deliver them. I didn't facilitate it or make it happen in any way. They just had great timing — very unique timing,” Schleicher said.
