California Man Nabs $750,000 Lottery Jackpot After Refusing to Leave Store Until He Scored Win

His determination paid off.
A California man wasn’t going to take no for answer when it came to winning the lottery.
Fred Bastardo visited El Rachero Liquor in Hanford, California, to buy a lottery ticket and told the clerk, “I’m not leaving until I get a winner.”
And indeed, he hit the jackpot with a $10 Mystery Crosswords Scratchers. It only took him five tries to win the $750,000.
He scored another big win on the way to pick up his money from the California Lottery’s district office in Fresno when he proposed to his girlfriend and she said yes.
He plans to use his winnings for investments and also plans to start a business.
