A United Kingdom couple have their cat to thank after they nabbed a 1 million pound lottery prize.
"If it wasn't for Shortcake, we wouldn't be millionaires," Andrew Hancock told reporters, according to the BBC.

He said he purchased the winning ticket when he went to buy food for Shortcake, or Shorty as he and his wife, Paula Hancock, call him.
Andrew was so excited, he completely forgot to buy cat food.

"So I thought, 'I'll get straight home and go out for the cat food and get that later on.' Which we didn't, so he had ham," he said. "He was quite happy with that."
The couple said they used the money to buy a phone for their 12-year-old son, Xavier, and plan to travel to Australia.
