Delta Apologizes to Busy Philipps for Rerouting Her Daughter on Separate Flight

The company refunded her money after the mix-up.
Delta Air Lines apologized after actress Busy Philipps criticized the company for allegedly trying to separate her from her 9-year-old daughter on a flight to Minnesota.
The I Feel Pretty actress said the pair was scheduled to be on the same flight, but once that flight was cancelled, they were rebooked on two separate planes flying to different locations.
Hey @Delta! Thanks for cancelling my flight and then rerouting us and separating my MINOR child onto a different flight than mine and having a 2 HR call time wait! You are terrible!” she wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted.
The company went on to explain the mother and daughter, Birdie, had been booked under separate itineraries initially, hence the mix-up.
“We apologize for the inconvenience this caused Ms. Philipps. Delta worked quickly to resolve the rebooking issue and coordinated directly with the customer to adjust their travel,” Delta shared in a statement to Fox News.
Philipps was also traveling with her 4-year-old daughter Cricket.
The family was never separated but wasn’t able to get on a flight until 2:30 a.m. after making different travel arrangements.
Delta refunded the mom the unused portion of their travel.
