Demi Lovato 'Awake' and 'With Her Family' After Apparent Overdose
The statement did not say what led to the singer's hospitalization.
Demi Lovato is recovering after suffering an apparent overdose Tuesday.
"Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support," Lovato's representative said in a statement, according to CNBC.
"Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now."
The statement did not say what led to the 25-year-old singer's hospitalization.
Last month, Lovato released a surprise track called “Sober,” in which she hinted at a relapse, and apologized for letting down her friends, family and fans.
The apparent relapse came shortly after her celebration of six years sober in March.
