Dramatic Moments Caught on Video in 2018
Residents of Paradise, California, fled through flames, miraculously escaping.
The year brought many dramatic moments caught on camera.
One of the most terrifying videos of 2018 featured residents of Paradise, California, sobbing as they fled the wildfires with flames licking at their vehicle. They made it out but Paradise was destroyed.
In July, a race car spun out of control and burst into flames in Virginia. The driver's father, Mike Jones, bolted onto the racetrack to rescue his son, Dean. “I would do it again in a heartbeat,” Jones later told Inside Edition.
In August, Thomas Prado spotted a 94-year-old woman driving the wrong way on a highway outside Abilene, Texas, and did everything he could to stop her. He said the lady told him she was late for a hair appointment.
There were sweet moments caught on camera, too: Model Nicole Casper received a very happy surprise on the runway when her boyfriend, Chad, proposed to her in the middle of a show.
And throughout 2018, cops responded to all kinds of life-or-death emergencies, from wild shootouts to saving choking babies, many captured on dash and body cameras.
