This is not Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree.
German Gold dealer Pro Aurum is touting it as Europe’s most expensive Christmas tree. It is made out of 2,018 gold coins, that all rest in slots on an acrylic tree.
Atop the tree sits a larger gold coin star. The tree is valued at $2.3 million euros, or about $2.6 million. The dealer said it still could’ve been worth more, but gold’s value declined during the second half of this year.
The tree will be on display at Pro Aurum’s Munich Goldhaus until Dec. 15.
