'Golden Girls' Halloween Costumes Sell Out Barely a Week After Release

Thank you for being a friend.
If you ever had dreams of actually becoming a Golden Girl, you're apparently not the only one.
With Halloween right around the corner, Target debuted costumes modeled after the main characters in the popular comedy series “The Golden Girls.” There are options to dress up like Blanche Devereaux, Rose Nylund, Sophia Petrillo or Dorothy Zbornak. Each one costs $68.99, but the wigs are not included.
But the get ups have been such a hit, the chain has already sold out.
In recent years, the Golden Girls’ popularity has seen a resurgence after being introduced to a whole new generation through syndication, social media and streaming platforms. Merchandise bearing their likenesses include Funko Pops, cereals, candles, hot sauce and even Chia Pets.
The Golden Globe- and Emmy-winning series ran on NBC from 1985 to 1992.
