Celina Midelfart was Trump’s date to a party at the Kit Kat Klub in 1998 when he first saw his future wife.

Paolo Zampolli owned the modeling agency that discovered Melania in Europe and brought her to New York in 1996 where her career would take off.

Zampolli introduced Trump to the Slovenian beauty, who didn’t know who he was.

“I don't think she knew exactly who Donald was,” Zampolli told IE.

According to Melania, the real estate tycoon tried to get her phone number, but because he already had a date, she turned him down. Instead, he gave her his number and a couple of weeks later she called him for a date.

Trump would propose to Melania in 2004 before they attended the Met Gala.

“She's not an easy one to get but he figured it out somehow,” Zampolli said. “Donald is Donald.”

The billionaire and the model finally wed in 2005 at a lavish ceremony at Trump's Mar-A-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

Some of the guests at the high-profile nuptials included the Clintons, who Trump will most likely face-off with for the race to the White House.
