Indiana Police Sergeant Rescues Ducklings From Storm Drain
"Saving lives ... of the webbed-footed variety in our storm drains."
An Indiana police sergeant is earning some major kudos for rescuing four ducklings from a storm drain.
Sgt. Chad Goben stepped in to free the baby ducks when he noticed they were trapped outside the South Bend Police Department's building, cops said.
Heartwarming video shows the rescue mission unfold as Goben carries one of the ducklings across the street to its mom.
In the footage, she can be heard cheeping for her baby.
"Saving lives ... of the webbed-footed variety in our storm drains. Way to go Sgt. Goben!" South Bend police tweeted.
Goben said the duckling rescue was his first in 20 years in law enforcement.
