Just a Day After Royal Engagement, Meghan Markle Already Dropping Hints About the Dress

The actress is reportedly seeking out a classic look when she marries Prince Harry.

Meghan Markle says a simple slip gown worn by the late Carolyn Bessette when she married John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1996 was her favorite dress — leaving many to speculate that it could be her wedding gown.

“Classic and simple is the name of the game, perhaps with a modern twist," she told Glamour magazine in 2016. "I personally prefer wedding dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic. Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Everything goals.”

Kristen Maxwell Cooper, the editor-in-chief of The Knot, commented on the risks Markle may take with her gown.

"Meghan’s dress will probably not be as traditional as the Duchess of Cambridge’s dress from 2011. She is going to stick to her style, which is simplistic and modern and it seems fresh," she told Inside Edition.

Fans of Suits have seen Markle try on wedding gowns before as her character Rachel Zane married the character of Mike Ross, who is played by Patrick J. Adams, in the 2016 finale of the show.

And it's pretty much a guarantee that the actress will not be wearing the toilet paper gown she donned for the TV movie When Sparks Fly back in 2014.
