A Kansas man won a $22,000 prize after receiving a free lottery ticket.
Robert Schwartz, who often plays the Kansas Lottery's 2by2 game, said he typically picks his own numbers, but since he got the ticket for free, he didn't have that luxury this time around.
"I always play my own numbers in 2by2," he told lottery officials. "Of course, I couldn't do that with a free ticket because it prints automatically and is always a Quick Pick."
When he saw he'd won, he got so excited, he screamed, startling his wife, Barb.
"The way he yelled it, it scared me to death," she said. "I thought he was having a heart attack!"
Robert, an avid golfer, said he's thinking of spending the money on new clubs.
