“Please accept this letter as official verification of a lost tooth and provide the standard monetary exchange rate you normally use for a real tooth," he wrote.

A principal in Wisconsin came to the aid of a student who lost their lost tooth.

Curt Angeli, the principal at Gillett Elementary School, wrote a letter to the Tooth Fairy explaining that a student at the school misplaced their newly lost tooth while playing at recess on school grounds.

Due to the tooth being lost, the student was unable to put it under their pillow in order to collect their reward.

“As a trained principal and hobby dentist, I can verify that there is definitely a gap in [the student's] teeth that was not there this morning when he came in,” Angeli wrote. “Please accept this letter as official verification of a lost tooth and provide the standard monetary exchange rate you normally use for a real tooth.”

A school employee shared a picture of the letter on social media, where it is now making the rounds.

Angeli also added in the tongue-in-cheek letter that he was also requesting compensation for the wisdom teeth that he lost in 1987.

“P.S. I am still waiting for the money for my wisdom teeth from 1987. Please remit as soon as possible,” he ended the letter.
