Kirk Douglas Celebrates 101st Birthday With Cakes Commemorating His Most Famous Roles
The screen legend was surrounded by family, including son Michael, as he blew out a single candle.
Kirk Douglas is celebrating his 101st birthday in grand fashion.
The screen legend blew out a single candle with family by his side, including his wife, Anne, 98, and son, Fatal Attraction star Michael.
The cake was decorated with sunflowers, an homage to one of his greatest performances as Vincent Van Gogh in Lust for Life.
At 101, he's earned the right to have not one, but two birthday cakes. The second was made in the shape of two red boxing gloves, a tribute to his 1949 classic, The Champion.
Daughter-in-law Catherine Zeta-Jones posted a photo of Kirk sitting on her lap on Instagram.
“Happy birthday to my wonderful, inspirational and loving father in law, Kirk. Love you with all my heart,” she wrote.
