Man Wins Millions After Accidentally Purchasing Lottery Tickets With the Same Numbers

The result was a $33.2 million jackpot win.
An Australian man’s mistakes paid off when he accidentally bought two lottery tickets with the same numbers.
The result was a $33.2 million jackpot win.
The man told lottery officials he thought he was buying one of the tickets for a future drawing but later found he’d accidentally bought both tickets for Tuesday’s drawing.
The $50 million total jackpot winnings were split among three winning tickets, of which the man held two.
"I might think about retiring. First maybe a new home or a holiday," he said.
"I'll definitely share it with my family."
