    Ancient Scoreboard Settles 1100-Year-Old Game

    At the Chichen Itza archaeological site on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, a circular artifact, dating back to between 800 and 900 ACE was just found. A statement from Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History says the stone weighs about 88-pounds even though it's only 12.6 inches in diameter. The intricately carved stone’s purpose? To act as a scoreboard for an ancient ball game used in Mayan rituals.
