12-Year-Old Girl Invents Medi Teddy to Make IV Bags Less Scary

A child battling a chronic illness wanted to make the hospital a little less scary for kids like her. Ella Casano was diagnosed with a platelet disorder that causes severe bleeding and makes her bruise easily all over her body. To treat it, she has to undergo transfusions from an IV bag. She noticed the other children around her also didn't like the look of a big IV bag hovering over their heads. So she wanted her IV bag to have a friendly face.
