19-Year-Old In Remission From Leukemia Registers to Vote in 1st Election

October 1, 2020

Horace McFarlane, Jr. registered to vote for the first time. “I am excited to vote because it's my first time doing it. I had never gotten a chance to vote when I was 18,” the 19-year-old said. McFarlane Jr. is in remission from leukemia and recovering from a brain clot. It required surgery to remove part of his skull. He’s had to relearn how to walk and talk. This fall, he’s determined to make his voice heard by voting. Inside Edition Digital’s Leigh Scheps shares his story.
