LAPD Cops Fired for Ignoring Robbery Call to Play Pokemon Go: Reports

Two LAPD officers were reportedly fired over a video taken in 2017. The LA Times reports the two officers were playing Pokemon Go while ignoring a call for backup at a robbery. The report says a disciplinary panel reviewed the video and unanimously decided the two officers violated department policy by failing to provide backup and then lying to their supervisors about playing the game.
