2023 Was the Hottest Year Ever Recorded, NASA Says

Did 2023 feel warmer than normal? It wasn’t your imagination. According to NASA’s Goddard Institute of Space Studies, Earth’s average surface temperature last year was the warmest on record. Scientists analyzed temperatures dating back to 1880. In 2023, temperatures worldwide were 2.1 degrees above the average. Summer months were .41 degrees warmer than in other years.
