28-Year-Old COVID-19 Patient Maya Ramirez Survives Double Lung Transplant

Maya Ramirez, 28, is the first American COVID-19 patient to receive a double lung transplant, which she underwent surgery for at Northwestern University Medical Center. Speaking at a press conference, Ramirez expressed her gratitude to the grieving family of the donor from whom she received the lungs. Dr. Anthony Fauci is recommending people start covering their eyes as well their noses and mouths. Meanwhile, a new report from NBC shows how prevalent COVID-19 is on various surfaces.
