3-Year-Old Autistic Australian Boy Found Safe After 3 Days Alone in the Woods

After three days of searching, authorities in Australia located a missing autistic toddler. This was a difficult rescue. Three-year-old Anthony ‘AJ’ Elfalak is non-verbal. A police helicopter crew spotted AJ sitting by a creek cupping his hands to drink the water. That access to water may have saved his life, as officials say dehydration and cold overnight temperatures were two of their biggest concerns. AJ’s dad says the worst of his injuries were a few abrasions, diaper rash and ant bites.
