4-Year-Old Eats Donuts With Officers While Being Deputy for a Day

Four-year-old Omar Harooni doesn't let weekly trips to the hospital stop him. The California boy was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called beta thalassemia when he was just 6 months old. The disorder leads to low levels of oxygen in the body, thanks to a reduced amount of hemoglobin. To take his mind off things, Omar recently became a sheriff's deputy for a day with the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
