Neglected Horses Now Available for Adoption

Forty six horses that were neglected, abused, and malnourished, were taken from a rural property in Iowa in November 2023. Their owner was charged with livestock neglect. The horses have been cared for by staff and volunteers at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa’s Second Chance Ranch. But good nutrition, medical care, and some love have helped mend this equine herd. Some of the horses, including 5 pregnant mares, are available for adoption.
