500-Pound Bear ‘Hank the Tank’ Has Broken Into 28 Homes in Lake Tahoe

He’s the enormous black bear wreaking havoc in California. Hank the Tank, as he’s been dubbed, weighs about 500 pounds, and has broken into at least 28 homes in Lake Tahoe. Over the last seven months, more than 150 calls have come into local law enforcement as the giant bear broke windows, smashed down doors and ransacked garages looking for food. Hank is double the size of an average bear, and is causing an intense divide in the community over how to handle him.
