62 People Rescued From 400-Foot Ferris Wheel on New Year’s Eve
Sixty-two people needed to be rescued from a Ferris wheel called "The Wheel" after it lost power. It happened at Icon Park in Orlando, Florida, on New Year’s Eve. Rescuers had to climb The Wheel to reach those inside the 20 pods, who had been trapped inside for three hours. No one was hurt. Firefighters had to get everyone through an opening at the top of each pod. Investigators have not yet said what caused the outage.
