8 New Siamese Crocodiles Found in Cambodia Give Hope for This Endangered Species

A discovery is giving conservationists hope. Eight Siamese crocodile hatchlings were found in Cambodia. It’s one of the rarest species of crocodiles in the world and is on the critically endangered list. Wildlife researchers spent four days looking for them after finding signs of life. Siamese crocodiles were once all across Southeast Asia, but their numbers dwindled significantly due to poaching and breeding with other species of crocodiles.
