Small Beetle Nearly Costs Mother Her Life
May 12, 2026
A small bug with vivid green coloring, called the six-spotted tiger beetle, almost cost a woman her life. Antoinette Webb and her twin children were at a state park in Maine when she saw the beetle. She picked up the bug with her fingers to show her kids. Suddenly, she has an allergic reaction to the beetle. Former Army medic Dean Martin works at the park and was on the spot as the medical crisis unfolded. The stricken mom was given Benadryl and an ambulance rushed to the scene. Webb and her 9-year-old twins spoke with Inside Edition.
