A Real-Time Look at How a Dog Was Saved From an Iowa House Fire

First responders went to great lengths to get a family’s pet dog to the vet as soon as they could. The dog had breathed in heavy smoke after a fire broke out at the family’s Des Moines, Iowa, home. First, they gave the dog oxygen. Then he was taken in a patrol car to the vet. Experts there say getting him there was one of the biggest factors in saving his life.
