Alaska Police Officer Nearly Hits Mama and Baby Moose Crossing the Highway

A cop in Alaska had a terrifying close call with two moose on a highway. Officer Natasha Welch with the Anchorage Police Department was cruising along in her patrol car. Then, all of a sudden, a mama moose and her calf emerged from the right shoulder, trying to cross the four-lane road. Both immediately wiped out on the pavement. Fortunately, Welch was able to bring her car to a quick stop. The baby at first returned the way it came before eventually following its parent.
