Alex Murdaugh defiantly announced he was going to take the stand at his murder trial. The high-stakes decision came after the judge reminded him he did not have to testify. Murdaugh confessed he lied about the kennel video that prosecutors say puts him at the scene shortly before Maggie and Paul were murdered. But he insisted his wife and son were both alive when he left them. Murdaugh says he lied to police because he was "paranoid" due to an "addiction" to painkillers. He also apologized for his deceit.
