During the height of the pandemic, millions of Americans packed up their belongings and moved away. Many rented storage units, thinking their stuff would be safe. But customers Inside Edition spoke to say unwelcome rodents moved in while they were gone. So just how big of a problem are rats and mice in storage units? To see for ourselves, Inside Edition investigative producers rented units from Public Storage and U-Haul. After several weeks, we returned to see if any pests had moved in.
