Arizona Firefighters Use Cowboy Skills to Save 2 Horses From Drowning
Firefighters recently had to draw upon their cowboy skills to rescue two wild horses. "They were struggling and looked like they may drown, so time was of the essence," said Battalion Chief Steve Richards of the Mesa Fire and Medical Department. The horses were trapped in a canal surrounded by tall cement edges. The shaken duo was transported to a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the area's wild horses.
