Armed Officer Assigned to Florida School Took Cover Outside During Shooting

As he left the White House Friday, President Trump did not mince words about the Florida deputy sheriff who stayed outside during last week’s school shooting. During remarks at CPAC, he again called out the officer, 54-year-old Scot Peterson, who is being vilified for his actions as the shooting unfolded. Some believe, however, that Peterson is being unfairly branded a coward.
