Arrest Made After 8-Months-Pregnant Maryland Woman Vanished in 2017

For nearly five years the nation has been searching for Akia Eggleston, 22. She was eight months pregnant and planning her own baby shower. Now, prosecutors believe they have answers as to what may have happened to her back in 2017. “In the past 6 months, we have used additional investigative techniques and given this case a committed set of fresh eyes,” said Marilyn J. Mosby, Baltimore City State's Attorney. Michael Robertson was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, Mosby announced.
