Artificial Intelligence Finishes Beethoven’s 10th Symphony

Members of the Beethoven project used algorithms to finish composing his 10th symphony, after the dress rehearsal of the last and uncompleted Beethoven symphony. Marking the 250th anniversary of the German composer's birth in 2020, a team of musicologists and programmers together with telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom launched an ambitious project: teaching a computer to complete the symphony using artificial intelligence.
