Artist Liz Cruz Creates Interactive Mural of Deportees on Tijuana Wall
A section of border fence in the Mexican city of Tijuana is now the site of a remarkable piece of social commentary. Murals on the fence depict fifteen individuals who were deported from the U.S. The Playas de Tijuana Mural Project tells the stories of these people who could not get DACA status. The mural is the work of a Mexican-American artist named Liz Cruz, who spent several years on the project, interviewing and photographing people.
