Baby Dolphin Struggling to Breathe Rescued in Florida

Florida sheriff’s deputies helped rescue a baby dolphin in distress. The Pasco County Sheriff's Office Maritime Operations Unit responded to a call on May 10th for a lone dolphin calf who was ‘swimming in circles and struggling to get above water to breathe.’ Marine biologists estimate the male calf was only hours or days old. Deputies transferred the young dolphin to the veterinarians and marine biologists of SeaWorld Rescue by Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
